Well the last few days of the Operation Rainbow trip have been a blur. We finished surgery, packed up and are heading back to Quito today, then home tomorrow.
Our hosts for this trip were the Doctors Rodriguez, Orthopaedic surgeons of Loja. They own a private hospital there which they opened to us in order to care for the indigent. They are also generously doing the follow up care – cast changes, suture removals etc after we go.
On this trip we saw 120 patients in our clinic and took care of about 45 cases like the ones I’ve shown over the past several days. I’m so honored to be part of this great organization. I’ll leave my report of the Loja trip with this photo of Christopher Jose, happy after his hand surgery.
